This Privacy Policy explains how Redwood Outdoor Co. LLC dba Tru Outdoor Living (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the Tru OS application (“the App”), including financial account data accessed through Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”).

1. Who this covers

The App is an internal business-management tool operated by us for our own company’s operations. The primary user is the business owner and authorized personnel. Where we connect financial accounts, we access our own business accounts for bookkeeping and financial management.

2. Information we collect

Account & profile information (name, email, login identifiers); business financial records (jobs, estimates, invoices, expenses, receipts, mileage); contractor/vendor information for tax reporting, including legal name, address, and Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN/EIN); and financial account data accessed via Plaid (account name, balances, and transaction history). We do not receive or store your bank login credentials — those are handled by Plaid, whose handling of data is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

3. How we use information

We use information solely to operate the App, keep accurate books, categorize expenses, produce financial reports, prepare tax documents (e.g., Schedule C figures and 1099s), reconcile transactions, and meet legal and tax-recordkeeping obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or independent use.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the App (hosting, database, email delivery, and financial-data connectivity such as Plaid), and only as needed to provide those services; with our accountant/tax preparer to file taxes; and where required by law. These providers are bound to protect the information.

5. How we protect information

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Sensitive third-party access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application layer (AES-256-GCM). Access is restricted by least privilege, unique accounts, and multi-factor authentication on administrative systems; the database enforces row-level security.

6. Data retention & deletion

We retain financial and tax records for as long as needed to run the business and to meet legal/tax requirements (generally at least seven years for tax records). We delete or de-identify data that is no longer needed. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information about you, contact security@redwoodoutdoorco.com.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at security@redwoodoutdoorco.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

8. Disconnecting financial accounts

You may disconnect a linked financial account at any time from within the App. On disconnection, we stop pulling new transactions and delete or de-identify the stored access token and associated financial data in line with our retention policy.

9. Children’s privacy

The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
